Vosueh's Wikipedia

Amaranthine is the biological daughter between the moon elf Lavyla and the obyrith demon Pazuzu. Despite being raised solely by her mother, Amaranthine is determined to gain her father's attention and approval, even though she often has moral conflicts with his motives and wishes.

When her sister Alda is captured and held captive in the Abyss, Amaranthine becomes determined to prove herself to her father and rise in power above mortals and demons, and hold authority in the Abyss through straight-up nepotism. With this power, she believes she can rescue and reunite with her sister. In addition to saving her sister, Amaranthine also firmly believes it is her birthright to have more power and leverage through the ties with her father anyways, even before her sister was taken.

Despite this plan and all of Amaranthine's attempts at appeasement, Pazuzu has yet to award her any real authority nor unholy power. She nonetheless will constantly vouch for him though, and tries to win his favor by bringing him followers. She claims to be a paladin of “Typhon” when she is advocating for him.

Appearance

Amaranthine is a tall woman with a lean, fit frame. She has a prominent aquiline nose with almost a beak-like shape, and elf-like beauty from her mother's side— as long as the beholder doesn’t find aesthetic issue with her prominent nose.

Her skin is a saturated magenta, hair is an amaranth dark reddish-pink, eyes deep blue, and wings are color bands of maroon and light coral. After being literally "grounded" by her father for keeping a hellhound she was meant to kill, she was reprimanded by having the ends of her wings clipped, rendering her flightless. When her wings are kept folded against her it is hard to notice they are clipped to the untrained eye, however when they are extended the cut feathers are very apparent.

Her ears are pointed like an elf's, claws sharp like a demon, and wings feathered like a bird. Thanks to having an atypical appearance for a cambion, she claims to be an avariel to avoid revealing her demonic lineage.

History

Amaranthine was born after her mother, Lavyla, asked her (one of many) husbands, Pazuzu, for a child. Her mother not only wanted to settle down after adventuring, but she also wanted a sibling for her adoptive (aka stolen) daughter, Alda.

Lavyla is partially— if not entirely— infertile due to health issues, so she didn’t have many other means to get pregnant, but was sure Pazuzu can use his unholy powers to do something about it. For unclear and potentially cavalier and/or meaningless reasons, he indulged her. This resulted in Lavyla’s only biological child, Amaranthine, but she still raised her adoptive daughter alongside her as if she were her own. Despite their differences, Alda and Amaranthine are very close, and raised entirely by their mother. Lavyla is very wealthy after the fruits of her adventures, and thus is able to support her adult daughters and help conceal the fact one is a werewolf and the other is a demon spawn.

After Baphomet discovers Pazuzu has a biological child, he attempted to kidnap her in an attempt to gain some potential leverage against Pazuzu, and invaded the home where Lavyla lived with her two daughters. However, only knowing the child was born to a moon elf and otherwise unaware Lavyla had two daughters, he unknowingly took Alda since Amaranthine wasn’t home that evening.

It was soon realized that not only did Pazuzu not have any paternal attachments to Amaranthine so the whole plan was virtually pointless, but also that Baphomet kidnapped a werewolf that was unrelated to Pazuzu entirely.

Amaranthine does not know what Baphomet did with her sister afterwards, but she knows Alda is somewhere in the Abyss, likely on the Endless Maze layer. Wanting to have some level of power and authority in the Abyss to take her sister back, Amaranthine dedicated herself to Pazuzu, hoping that bringing followers to him will be the quickest way to rescue Alda. Although, besides the vague idea that her father might give her authority and power, she has no other clue how to go about saving her.

At one point, Pazuzu tried to offer her a hellhound puppy to slaughter in exchange for some sort of present or gift, which Amaranthine failed to do so, and elected to keep the puppy instead. He grounded her as punishment, and clipped the ends of her wings, but she insisted to keep the puppy anyways, despite its many attempts to bite her.

It could take about a year before her feathers are grown back in enough for her to fly once more.

Personality

Amaranthine is morally neutral, but her desire to appease powerful entities like her father makes her prone to doing morally corrupt or evil acts, even if she doesn't always feel great about them. Yet she is just as prone to sucking up to a powerful benevolent figures as well; whichever she thinks will benefit her the most, regardless of her moral compass.

To whichever figure she has pledged her allegiance to, she will force others to yield to them, and has almost no tolerance for those opposing her ulterior goals. Any who do not cooperate will face escalating intimidation and violence until they do so, and those who are unmovable she will attempt to quash.

She tries to exude a better-than-you condescending attitude to people, particularly because of her deep desire for power and her personal belief she is due it by virtue of being Pazuzu’s daughter. People are often off-put by her entitlement and shallowness, although strangers may be respectful out of caution, thinking she is nobility or part of upper society considering how she acts, dresses, and talks up herself. Indirectly supporting that misconception, she will sometimes hint at or say that her family is very powerful and influential, mostly for clout but occasionally as a threat.

Amaranthine appears to most as a firm and pushy advocate of the god “Typhon”, a god she claims is truer than any other, and will actually answer the prayers of his followers. She insists dedication and complete submission to his commands is necessary, and will coerce those who are reluctant to listen and believe. she will not tolerate those who actively oppose and resist, and will see and treat them as an enemy that warrants confrontation and correction.

Taking after her mom, she can also attempt to be smooth-talking and seductive to get what she wants, if she truly believes intimidation wouldn't work. However, unlike her mom, she will avoid any actual sexual activity whenever possible, and is more likely to just use seduction to lower someone's guard down in order to have the upper hand when she drops the act and transitions into violence and subjection. Amaranthine, although not a virgin, is rather sexually inexperienced, so she can only flirt so much before her lack of skill becomes obvious.

Despite her draw to those with power and influence in contrast to those seen as weak, she secretly really likes pet animals and young children, because caring or looking after a creature dependent on her makes her feel important, and she enjoys the perceived power of shaping their future by shepherding them. It was because of this soft spot for animals that she kept her hellhound puppy, Pork Chop. Luckily, he has only attempted to eat her six (6) times so far in the short period she has had him. But he’s a good boy (according to her and her alone) and thus she always forgives him.

Amaranthine with claim excessively that she is keeping Pork Chop for practical reasons instead of sympathetic ones, alleging she saw great potential in him to be a powerful warrior and guard dog, and thus it would be a waste not to raise him by her side. Despite this, she clearly does not try to teach him combat skills at all, and instead only attempts to train him to stay out and away from danger, only for this training to not change Pork Chop’s behavior in the slightest.

Besides her futile training of Pork Chop to keep himself out of harm’s way, she is also attempting to train him to pick up on the scent of her sister Alda wherever they go, so hopefully Amaranthine might have a clue over those who interacted with Alda before she was taken.

Trivia

  • Amaranthine's sister, Alda, is older than her by four years. The two siblings are very close, but are prone to bickering and arguing a lot. Amaranthine thinks her sister reeks like a dog, is messy, and is unkempt. Alda thinks Amaranthine is spoiled and prissy.
  • Both Amaranthine and Alda hates cats, but for different reasons. Amaranthine hates felines like a bird would, since they like to bite and play with the feathers of her wings, and she doesn’t like the idea of a quick and sneaky ground predator being able to take down a flying creature. Alda on the other hand hates them as a dog would, seeing cats as a prey animal to be hunted, as well as not liking how standoffish and unfriendly they sometimes are.
  • Pork Chop loves raw pig meat, but he eats it so messy and voraciously that his fires will start to burn and cook the meat while he’s in a feeding frenzy, leading to a smell of fresh bacon and pork chops. Because of his messy eating habits and love of pig meat, he often usually carries the smell of pork chops with him, as well as some messy bits in his fiery neck fluff.
  • Despite her mother treating both her and her sister very well, Amaranthine talks about her mom with exasperation, and is embarrassed her mother is proudly a prostitute— a fact Amaranthine tries to hide.
  • When someone really gets on her nerves, Amaranthine will sometimes drop a "wait until my dad hears about this" line in the heat of the moment. Pazuzu will indeed likely hear about it next time she sees him, and will usually proceed to do nothing about it.
