Erdoxi will be a spring Eladrin who is an Aberrant Mind sorcerer, composed of two partially merged souls (Eridani and Doxi) within a single body. She is true neutral, uses she/they pronouns, and on any given day has a 60% chance of being her mosaic soul under the name Erdoxi, and a 40% chance as emerging as either Eridani the original soul, or Doxi the new soul.
If emerging as an individual soul, each one as a 50/50 chance of emerging, either Doxi (the new soul created by accident when the clone's body was formed) who is a true neutral and almost acts teenager-like, youthful and a bit naive, and can be careless and irresponsible. History
Eridani was a talented Eladrin wizard with an aptitude for experimentation in conjuration, spending nearly eight centuries studying magic and becoming a formidable mage, famous among those who knew her for her generosity and philanthropy. Living a long and prosperous life, she took a dryad lover named Pyxis, vowing to protect her tree into immortality with every last ounce of her power, through any form of magical means possible. Eridani intended to find a way to be immortal as well, and spend eternity with her lover.
While magic came easy to her, she had a secret envy of sorcerers, and often wished she had the natural gift of magic alongside her immense education and studies into it. In addition, one related field that always escaped her was psionics, and no matter how much she studied and practiced, the art escaped her entirely. Sorcerers born with the natural power of psionics flowing through them was a deep fascination for her, with several decades of her research being focused on finding and studying these psionic sorcerers alone.
In her eighth century of life, it became clear she was aging, and growing closer to her natural death. At first, she planned to reincarnate through a clone, but after studying deeply into cloning, Eridani came upon a theory that she could make a clone more powerful than her current body, looking to harness the psionic powers she craved to learn and infuse it into this new body, intending to enter the husk and have natural psionic sorcery on top of her already extensive wizardry knowledge.

To infuse the husk with psionic energy, she hunted out an aboleth, and commissioned dozens of talented mercenaries to assist her in taking the beast down. Upon destroying its physical form, she plane shifted into the Elemental Plane of Water alongside Pyxis, seeking out the regenerating body of the slain and weakened aboleth.
Her and Pyxis slaughtered the creature on its own plane of existence, successfully killing the aboleth, before soul trapping it through a modified custom magic jar spell.
Using this harvested aboleth soul, she returned to her plane with Pyxis, and began to subject the soul to complex experimental necromancy, seeking to kill the parts of the soul hosting the aboleth’s memories and identity, hollowing it out with the intention of making a shell of psionic energy. She intended to implant the tattered remains of the aboleth’s soul into a clone, and believed upon her death and transition into the clone, her soul will merge with the residue psionic shell and allow her to become a natural sorcerer able to harness psionic powers.
The clone she created was custom, yet again using a dangerously experimental spell to make a genetic clone of herself with the psionic core embedded within. To do so, she was unable to use the typical clone spell, and instead took a more scientific approach by creating a genetic clone that more closely developed in a natural biological way rather than through artificial magic.
Upon crafting the fetus made of her own flesh and genetic information, Eridani embedded it within a handsomely paid elven surrogate, who carried the clone to term and allowed for the birth of a perfect copy created with psionic energy naturally empowering it.
However, what Eridani did not anticipate was that a new, fresh, rudimentary soul was born into the husk first. The clone was an individual sharing many of the same traits she had as a youth, but with a strange eerie twist that hinted a small smidgen of the aboleth’s soul was not fully wiped out, leading to a mosaic soul that was almost 90% a flawed and accidental duplication of her, and 10% that of the aboleth. This clone was called Eridani the Second.
Nonetheless, Eridani became confident that this hybrid soul was highly unstable and weak. She and Pyxis raised the child, treating it more like a pet than offspring, but nonetheless being kind and gentle to what they perceived as a lesser, dumb, incomplete being. The mosaic soul was withdrawn and barely present at first, but as the years went by and the body matured, Eridani and Pyxis became concerned how more and more of a distinct personality formed within the not-so-empty husk.
The mosaic soul began naturally copying Eridani’s interests and hobbies without direction, albeit oddly devianting in small ways. Eridani was a passionate landscape painter in her freetime, enjoying rendering beautiful realistic scenes. And oddly enough, the clone began requesting art supplies and began painting of their own violation, albeit they didn’t paint beautiful landscapes like the original Eridani. Instead, they would paint disturbing dark and watery wastelands, as if the small slivers of aboleth within her was warping her in small but noticeable ways.
Yet, Eridani was sure that upon entering the body, her much older and powerful soul will forcefully evict the mosaic soul. Even when the clone matured and became oddly individualistic, Eridani and Pyxis continued treating her as a dumb pet, almost as if in denial of her growing uniqueness. By this stage, the clone began expressing uncanny youthful traits such as rebelliousness and a snappy temper, a troubling development that made the clone seem to act more like a regular teenager more so than the empty barely-there husk they were looking for.
However, soon there wasn’t any other choice as Eridani’s health began to rapidly decline. At the end of her natural life, Eridani went forth with the transmutation. However, the experiment went disastrously wrong; instead of driving out the existing soul and filling the psonic shell she was seeking, Eridani ended up accidentally merging into the mosaic, creating a clone with a cobbled together soul, resulting in 10% aboleth, 60% the original youthful clone, and only a meager 30% the original Eridani. The aboleth soul was resistant to diminish, whilst the young soul was particularly smothered by the original Eridani.
This new mismatched soul had scattered, confusing memories, overlapping in strange and hard-to-distinguish ways. However, the most notable difference was that despite holding fragments of the original Eridani’s memories, the many decades of studying magic and honing wizardry was butchered and scrambled, rendering her knowledge fundamentally fractured and useless. However, her original goal turned out to be a success, and this new mosaic soul was a natural sorcerer of psionic energy.
Pyxis was devastated. Her lover of centuries was now diced up and interwoven with this Frankenstein of a soul, who at the end of the day, was largely a soul that was majority not her lover. Pyxis’ treatment went to caring for the clone like a pet straight into treating it like her lover who was very mentally damaged and sickly, as Pyxis believed perhaps with time the original Eridani will gradually take up more and more of the psonic shell, suppressing the other two fragmented souls.
However, this new personality was insistently individualistic. They were certain they were their own person, a unity meant to stay together rather than be split and undone. Eridani the Second renamed themselves as Erdoxi, a name reflecting parts of what they vaguely remember their aboleth name was, and wished to be their own person.
However, Erdoxi soon became plagued with hallucinations and flashbacks of confusing and incomplete memories, and occasionally had complete out-of-character breaks in their behavior and personality where it seemed like one of the component souls temporarily seized complete control. Thus, while they mostly operated as a mosaic, they were capable of infrequently flashing three distinct personalities from time to time: the cruel and arrogant personality of the aboleth, the youthful and impulsive personality of the fresh soul, and the wise and patient soul of the original Eridani.
These separate breaks proved to be quite distressing, both to Eridanox as well as Pyxis, who greatly feared the other two souls having the capability of even seizing full control.
After years, these personality breaks became more and more common, with the ratio reflecting the soul percentage. During a dominant personality episode, the aboleth surfaced 5% of the time, the young soul 65%, and Eridani’s 30%. These lapses caused memory problems and general dysfunction to Eridanox, and thus, she became driven to find a way to truly blend the three souls within her entirely, and emerge as the complete being she wished to be.
In addition, the residue parts of the original Eridani yearned for Pyxis’ affections back. Despite only being mishmashed fragments of the lover she once knew, Erdoxi is desperate to win Pyxis over again, but not just because she is part of the original Eridani that Pyxis fell in love with; she also wants Pyxis to love her as her own person too, a concept Pyxis is very reluctant to embrace.
And thus, Erdoxi embarks on two simultaneous missions: to become a harmonious whole by completely unifying all the soul fragments inside her, and finding a way to win back Pyxis’ love.
