Church Grim is a Christian psychopomp, a guardian spirit[1] of a black hound buried at the base of St. Augustine's church in order to shepherd souls to the afterlife and protect the church from sacrilege. Even though the church was abandoned and fell into disrepair, he is obliged to remain on the church property to protect it indefinitely.
Appearance
Grim takes the appearance of a tall man with pale skin, brown hair, icy blue eyes, and black hound ears and a tail.
When in his angelic form, he resembles a seraph, growing to a monstrous size with three sets of wings and a body filled with countless judging eyes. His face retains a canine-like appearance.
When in his human form, he wears priest attire. Often he wears robes around this outfit, and carries with him a sacrificial dagger clipped to his waist.
Personality
Grim has a sadistic personality and a fervent religious belief that he will violently enforce on others. He despise demons like reapers and hellhounds, along with anyone he sees as "allied" with them.
Adhering to aggressively conservative Christian views, he is homophobic and believes in corrective rape.
Due to his hound origins, he has an extremely high libido that he represses deeply. This results in him easily becoming sexually violent against anyone he deems "sinful".
History
Arc II: The Church Grim Incident
This section is hidden by default, expand to view Arc III
Garmr had to visit Church Grim, and Garmr arrived with Braxton in company to dispute over a soul belonging to hell that Church Grim was attempting to shelter, claiming the man had redeemed himself in God’s eyes. During this encounter, Braxton met Church Grim. Unfortunately for him, Church Grim recalled him a few months later when he encountered Braxton alone, as he had accidentally cut through the church property while on a walk.
As Braxton was seen to have allied himself with a demon, Church Grim attempted to slaughter him in the name of God.
After attempting to kill him by slitting his throat, Church Grim came upon the realization Braxton was immortal. His assault escalated after the recall that Braxton identified as a man, which misaligned with Church Grim’s homophobic ideology that two men can not be together, and thus he created a deep wound between Braxton’s legs to forcibly feminize him to make his relationship heterosexual, before proceeding to rape him through the wound.
Trivia
- Church Grim identifies Braxton with feminine pronouns, and does not know his actual name.
